Dr. Ahmed Hegazy

Dr. Hegazy earned a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery in 2010 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree through the advanced standing DMD program at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2019. He was an honor student in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In dental school, Dr. Hegazy served as both Class President and Vice President of the Student Council.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are just that, bridges that span a gap where a tooth or teeth are missing between natural teeth. A dental bridge has three parts: two crowns and the artificial tooth or teeth. The two dental crowns are placed on your healthy teeth on each side of your missing tooth or teeth. These supporting teeth are referred to as abutment teeth. False teeth, referred to as pontics, replace missing teeth. Usually, bridges are one piece and are permanently cemented into place with dental crowns on both of the abutment teeth.
